The whole world is suffering from the Wuhan corona virus and so lock-down measures are taken across many countries of the world to slow down infection. Almost 209 countries and more than 1.3 million people are suffering from COVID-19. So each and every country is taking action to prevent from corona virus. Let’s check few of them.
India
Government of India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi ordered a nationwide lock-down for 21 days, on 24 March. Which is applied from 25 March 2020 – 14 April 2020.
India at present has 4,789 positive cases out of which recovered are 353 with a death toll of 124 in numbers.
United Kingdom
PM Boris Johnson announced the national lock-down on Monday 23 March and said the government would review it within three weeks.
But sadly Mr. Johnson, was moved to intensive care in a London hospital after his condition went low on Monday evening. Because Mr. Johnson was diagnosed with corona virus late last month,
Now foreign secretary Dominic Raab will be leading the UK government response to the corona virus while Johnson is in hospital.

United States
President Donald Trump extended the national social distancing guidelines to April 30.
US government, has been criticized for a slow response in this emergency. But government has ramp up action in recent weeks, easing restrictions on testing vaccines and passing benefit packages for workers, employers and international corporations.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said the Trump administration will focus on keeping critical medical items in the United States.

Italy
The government of Italy has said this could be extended until July 31, after reviewing lock-down measures on April 3.
Government of Italy underestimated the outbreak, then ordered a national lock-down to contain it. A month later also, officials warn it is still too soon to reopen the country lock-down because cases are not in control yet.

Spain
Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, has already extended the shutdown in Spain until 26 April which commenced on 14th March.
Spanish authorities had hoped that a recent slowdown in the number of new infections and deaths was materializing.

Germany
Germany said it won’t lift restrictions on public life until April 20.
Thousands of medical students across Germany, have volunteered their services to support the fight against the corona virus pandemic. So hospitals and authorities appreciates the extra helping hands.

France
France imposed lock-down on 16th March until 15th April.
French health minister, Olivier Veran, said, “We are still in a worsening phase of the epidemic,” in an interview Tuesday.

Iran
Iran announced national lock-down on 28th March till 18th April.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said, two-thirds of government employees to return to their offices from April 11.

Switzerland
Switzerland is under lock-down from 17th March to 19th April.
On Tuesday, April 7, The government of the Swiss canton of Lucerne has called upon the Federal Council to loosen the countrywide corona virus lock-down restrictions on April 19th.

Japan
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, on Tuesday 7th April, declared a state of emergency to fight COVID-19 in major population areas and announced a nearly one-trillion-dollar stimulus package to soften the economic blow.
